Bert Marshall

Amateur Scout

Bert Marshall is in his 18th season as an amateur scout with the Hurricanes organization, focusing on the WHL and the OHL as well as all major junior tournaments. Marshall won his first career Stanley Cup with the Hurricanes’ championship in 2006.

Prior to joining the Hurricanes, Marshall spent the previous 13 years as a scout with the New York Islanders, including serving as the Islanders’ Director of Amateur Scouting from 1994-1996.

A former NHL defenseman, Marshall played 868 career games over 14 seasons, totaling 198 points (17 goals, 181 assists) and 926 penalty minutes with the Detroit Red Wings, Oakland Seals, California Golden Seals, New York Rangers and New York Islanders.
